Philadelphia Phillies fans made their way to the Bronx Tuesday in preparation for Game 1 of the World Series Wednesday.
A local Howard Johnson says at least a dozen people from the Philadelphia area have reservations for the next few days. According to Bronx officials, businesses and restaurants on Arthur Avenue and in City Island have seen more customers as a result of the visitors.
The Phillies took two games of a three-game set against the Yankees back in May. Sports analysts say even though the Phillies are the defending world champions, the Yankees are favored to win the series.
