Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Sunday that pharmacies can now vaccinate New Yorkers with underlying conditions, as well as those over the age of 60 and teachers.
With appointments becoming slim, mom-and-pop pharmacies may have the doses to help out those unable to schedule something at state or county-run sites.
Le-Mac Pharmacy says it has doses of the Moderna vaccine ready to go. Owner Anthony Ciarletta says the vaccine is about 95% effective in the fight against COVID-19.
Ciarletta says he's not booking online appointments but has created a special telephone number where people can leave their contact information. One of his employees will then reach out to the caller to set up an appointment from there.
To set up your vaccine appointment at the Le-Mac Pharmacy in Yonkers, call 914-965-6100.
