A Pennsylvania man who pleaded guilty in an Ulster County child sex crime case has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, according to authorities.
John Oathout, 54, was sentenced Friday after previously pleading guilty to transporting a minor with the intent to engage in
criminal sexual activity.
Authorities say he admitted to driving his former girlfriend’s 5-year-old from Delaware to a Kingston hotel where he initiated sexual contact with the child.
In addition to his 25-year prison sentence, he will also serve 20 years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender.
