A Pelham family claims the administration of the village had failed to fulfill its promise to reimburse them after their house was damaged by a water main break.
Last Wednesday, a cracked water main sent a waterfall into John Reddy's basement, ruining his antique toy collection and his son's belongings.
Reddy says the village encouraged the four homeowners whose houses were damaged to file insurance claims. This week, however, he received a letter from the insurance company, denying coverage.
A Pelham administration says while the village is sympathetic to Reddy's plight, only the insurance company can reimburse him.
