Peekskill police seek public's help in hit-and-run

Peekskill police are turning to the public Thursday for help in locating the driver involved in a hit-and-run accident. According to police, a woman was trying to cross Hudson Avenue at around 8 a.m.

Peekskill police are turning to the public Thursday for help in locating the driver involved in a hit-and-run accident.
According to police, a woman was trying to cross Hudson Avenue at around 8 a.m. Sunday when a car came speeding through the intersection, hit her and kept going. Police say the woman suffered serious injuries. Witnesses were able to give police a partial license plate number.
Police are looking for a red or maroon sedan with a New York license plate ending with the numbers 5315. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Peekskill Police Department at 914-737-8000.
