Saturday marked the seventh anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut, and Peekskill honored the victims of the massacre.
The school shooting was one of the worst in U.S. history. A total of 20 first graders and six adults were killed.
Anne Marie Murphy, who was born in Mount Kisco, was a teacher at the Connecticut school. She was killed in the shooting while shielding children in the school from the shots.
