A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night at the intersection of Route 304 and Main Street in Clarkstown.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and has been released. The driver who remained on scene is not facing any charges.

The southbound lanes of Route 304 were closed for several hours following the crash but have since reopened.

This incident is the latest in a series of pedestrian-related accidents in Rockland County. Last week, a 55-year-old man was critically injured after being struck by a car in Monsey. Earlier this year, two children in the same town were fatally hit by vehicles.
