A man was hit by a car and seriously injured in New Rochelle on Tuesday evening.
Police say it happened on North Avenue around 10 p.m.
Authorities say the driver took off, but later pulled over after a witness called police.
The pedestrian was taken to Jacobi Medical Center with serious leg injuries.
