Forget the usual Hudson River cruise – there's a new, unique way to enjoy the iconic waterway this summer.
The Paddle Pub, a social boating experience that sets sail from Piermont and Tarrytown seven days a week, offers a fun and interactive way to soak up the scenery.
The Paddle Pub, which first launched last summer, has already completed over 100 trips. Up to 15 passengers can hop aboard, bringing their own food, drinks, and good times for a leisurely 90-minute journey along the river. While the boats are equipped with pedals, they're not required to power the vessel – a motor ensures a smooth ride.
"I just felt the river was missing something like this," said Chris Hickey, owner of the Paddle Pub. "There aren't many options in Rockland where you can just hop on a boat for an hour and a half, cool off with a nice breeze, and enjoy yourself with friends, family, or coworkers."
The Paddle Pub will continue its cruises through the fall.
