Pearl River native and New York Rangers prospect Drew Fortescue registered an assist in Team USA’s 4-1 win over Norway in the World Junior Hockey Championship in Sweden.
The annual two-week tournament consists of the best hockey players in the world under the age of 20.
Fortescue is a freshman defenseman at Boston College and has 4 points in 17 collegiate games.
Team USA will continue group play on Thursday when they play Switzerland.
