Officials with the Office of Mental Health confirm that patients at Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Facility in New Hampton have been receiving the vaccine under the state's 1A guidance for those living in congregate settings.
The psychiatric facility houses people accused of crimes, believed to have mental illness or are unfit to stand trial.
State representatives say facility staff are also receiving the vaccine.
