Pastor Rosie Andrews' home is open to children in need, but she is in danger of losing the home because she is behind on the mortgage.
Andrews, of the Northeast Gateway to Freedom Mission, bought the home on Dell Street in 2006 from the Salvation Army.
She says she can't refinance, so her only option is to switch ownership to the mission and pay off the debt. But she says the Bank of New York won't budge.
Andrews works to keep children who come from troubled homes off the streets. Those children sometimes stay with her.
She hopes that the bank can make an exception, saying that she would work to hold fundraisers to pay off the mortgage.
The market value of the home is about $150,000.
