A partner at a New York City law firm was arrested in a sexual predator sting in Rockland County.
Daniel Waxman, who resides on Long Island, was arrested after an undercover investigation into predators preying on minors using online platforms.
Authorities say the 55-year-old had text conversations last month with an undercover investigator posing as a minor.
They say Waxman continued sending texts even when he was told she was a 14-year-old girl.
He was arrested Thursday when he arrived in Rockland County to meet who he thought was the girl, authorities say.
He was charged with attempted dissemination of indecent material to minors.
Waxman is a partner in the firm of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.
A spokesperson says Waxman is on indefinite leave.
