Higher rates to park in Babylon Village began on Monday.

The price was raised from 25 cents to 50 cents for two hours.

Village officials say the price hike is to make up for lost revenue during the pandemic. This is the first increase since 1999.

Machines only accept quarters so anyone planning to go out needs to bring change.
