The area's favorite rides opened once again for the summer season as families raced to Rye Playland Saturday for its season kick off.
The county-owned-and-operated park is expected to do well, as park officials are predicting more locals will to stick closer to home due to the slumping economy this summer.
A new pay-one-price plan will run park-goers $25 each, which gets them park admission for the full day.
