Parents say they are upset with the decision to cancel the rest of the junior varsity football season at Monroe-Woodbury High School after allegations of bullying.
Mother Celsa Calip says most of the boys on her son's team are good-mannered and she feels it was not fair for the athletic department to cancel the team's final two games. Calip says the district should have only punished those accused of bullying, claiming canceling games sends the wrong message to other teammates.
Representatives for the district say it stands by the decision to cancel the season.
The school's superintendent says the district is looking into other ways to curb bullying, including bringing in outside programs and speakers.
