A group of parents in Hastings held a silent protest to call attention to the plight of immigrant children separated from their families.
The parents placed dozens of empty strollers on display in the village to remind people that the issue was ongoing.
"I'm a mother and an educator and when I think about the terror and the fear that families must be feeling right now to be separated from their children … when I think about my own experience as a mother, the idea of losing a child even for a moment, the fear and the terror is so profound,” said one mother.
