Two parents are facing charges in Wallkill after a four‑month‑old child was found unattended in a vehicle on North Galleria Drive.
Town of Wallkill police said officers responded just before 11 a.m. Thursday to the Sam’s Club after receiving a check‑welfare call.
When officers arrived, they found a 4‑month‑old boy alone in an unlocked vehicle while his parents were shopping.
Police said Bhricella Sisalima‑Gualan, 19, and Carlos Fares Mascote, 23, both of Middletown, were arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Child Protective Services was notified, according to police.
The parents were released and are scheduled to appear in Town of Wallkill Court next month.
