A fight on a Hudson Valley school bus has some parents calling for mandated monitors.
A relative of a student who was on a middle school bus in Monticello Monday sent News 12 video of the attack.
The video shows a student being repeatedly punched and stomped on, in front of other frightened students, while on the bus ride headed home.
Parents say a monitor would help prevent this from happening again.
"That boy could've gotten a concussion or could've gotten killed,” says Rebecca Gentes, of Middletown. “They were stomping on him— it's not OK. There's no time on a bus that that should be able to happen."
There is no word on the condition of the boy who was assaulted.
Monticello Schools Superintendent Matthew Evans says they will not tolerate violence, aggression or bullying, but that the district cannot afford monitors on every bus.
