Members of the Palestinian community in Yonkers say they are insulted by the removal of a flag from the downtown business district.
The flag was removed from South Broadway on Wednesday following complaints.
It was one of many flags put on display to celebrate merchants and residents from different nations who live in the area.
"We are an inseparable part of this community and we are really deeply offended by this," says Manal Khalil.
Her uncle, Ali Hamideh, says people shouldn't judge all Palestinians by the harm inflicted by fringe groups like ISIS.
Officials say they took down the flag because Palestine is not recognized as a nation.
The flag, which had been up since October, was replaced by a South Korean flag.
Khalil and Hamideh say they are fighting to get the flag back.
