An overturned truck on Route 35 caused a traffic nightmare for some in Katonah Monday morning.

Firefighters say the incident happened at around 8:30 when a garbage truck, loaded with construction debris, made too wide of a turn on Route 35. According to fire officials, the truck came up the ramp from I-684 and flipped over on its side.

The state Department of Transportation and Department of Environmental Protection arrived on the scene after the accident because the truck flipped near the Croton Reservoir.

The truck driver was not hurt in the accident. Bedford police say the driver will be ticketed.

Route 35 was reopened at around 11 a.m.
