Power has been restored for most of the over 100 Con Edison customers in New Rochelle who were left in the dark after a tree fell on a van on Beaufort Place.
Con Edison says when the tree came down, it took down overhead poles and damaged a separate van.
New Rochelle police say no one was injured.
One resident without power told News 12 he was startled when he heard the loud noise of the tree falling.
"This was extremely loud and it was scary. I jumped up, looked out. I thought it had something to do with my roof," says Lionel Oliver, a New Rochelle resident.
As of 11 p.m., less than a dozen homes were without power.
