A Greenburgh couple is lucky to be alive to after a car lost control and slammed into their house.
Victor and Barbara Alleyn were sleeping in their house on Manitou Trail when they say they were awakened at 4 a.m. by what seemed to be an explosion.
A car driven by Jason Sanchez, 28, of White Plains, knocked down a fence, went through the Alleyns' garage and flew air-born into their dining room. The Alleyns say they were lucky to be sleeping on the other side of the house and that the car was stopped by a support pole.
Greenburgh police arrested Sanchez for driving without a license. Sanchez and his male passenger were taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla with non-life threatening injuries. Police say the accident is still under investigation and don't know if drugs or alcohol were involved.
