yesterdayIn honor of Women’s History Month, students at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy in Gravesend had a special lesson.
Fourth-grade students met with News 12 via Zoom to talk about their lesson on the life and legacy of Helen Keller.
Their teacher, Christine Latona introduced the Braille alphabet to the students and the children had to write their first and last names in Braille.
Students also learned about the obstacles Helen Keller faced and the impact she had on the world.
