Otterkill Country Club property owner files for Chapter 11 in bankruptcy court

An LLC tied to a popular Orange County country club and wedding venue, co-owned by the Goshen town supervisor, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Poughkeepsie.
J&K Real Estate Investment group owns the Ottterkill Country Club property on Otter Road in Campbell Hall.
Court documents show the company filed for Chapter 11 late last year after TD Bank began foreclosure proceedings.
Goshen Town Supervisor Joe Betro tells News 12 that the company’s financial troubles go back to COVID-era shutdowns and that they’re trying to work with the bank to satisfy arrears.
Betro says members have been notified of the proceedings.
The case is due in court next month.
