A heated argument between three high school students and a 17-year-old from Sleepy Hollow took a dangerous turn in the back driveway of Ossining High School on Thursday morning.
The Sleepy Hollow teen is accused of wielding a knife and seemingly threatening one of the students - who officials say knew each other.
The suspect then hopped in his getaway car and nicked one of the students on his way out.
The student has been treated for minor injuries
The Sleepy Hollow teen was found and arrested off-campus shortly after.
Superintendent Dr. Raymond Sanchez said while the student did not enter the school building at any time, they sheltered in place until the situation was stable.
"It could've been very, very serious, and you know, the intent to harm is significant," says Sanchez. "We take security very, very seriously. We have strong relationships with our police department. This is what we hope and expect is an isolated situation."
