An Ossining father and his teenage daughter escaped injury this morning after their car caught fire in Briarcliff Manor.
Village police say the two noticed smoke coming from the back while driving on Pleasantville Road just before 8:30 a.m. That's when the vehicle caught fire in front of St. Theresa's Church.
According to police, the two got out of the car without incident.
Police closed off the road, allowing Briarcliff Manor firefighters to then quickly put out the flames.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
A police spokesman says that road was reopened just after 9 a.m.
