The family of a Yonkers man killed in an accident is making sure his legacy lives on.
Police say 31-year-old Justin Roberts thought his car was in park, but when he got out, it rolled backwards and pinned him against a wall.
Ashley Robinson, his wife, says her husband was like Superman — someone who always showed up to help his family and friends.
Roberts' organs will be preserved through the nonprofit LiveOnNY. Robinson says her husband will be able to save up to 12 lives by donating his heart, lungs, kidney, liver, pancreas and eyes.
"We can't bring the person back as much I wish I could...but he's able to help someone else. He's able to help multiple other families save their person,” she says.
August National Minority Donor Awareness Week, which Robinson says makes her husband's organ donation extra meaningful.
Roberts’ funeral will be held Wednesday.
