Orange County DA: Man charged in Newburgh shooting that killed man, injured child

A man who was arrested in North Carolina for a fatal Newburgh shooting was arraigned in New York on Wednesday.

A man who was arrested in North Carolina for a fatal Newburgh shooting was arraigned in New York on Wednesday.
Lamont Williams, of Newburgh, is accused of fatally shooting 29-year-old Daquan Corbett near Washington and Clark streets in September and hurting a 5-year-old boy.
The Orange County District Attorney's Office says Williams is charged with murder in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and assault in the second degree.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office and others tracked Williams to North Carolina where he was arrested and brought back to New York to go through the legal process.
