Orange County crowned its Citizens of the Year

County Executive Steve Neuhaus, the Legislature and the Office for the Aging gave out the awards.

Orange County crowned its Citizens of the Year on Thursday.
County Executive Steve Neuhaus, the Legislature and the Office for the Aging gave out the awards.
Karl Heller, of Maybrook, is a 91-year-old U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean conflict. He still volunteers at the Maybrook VFW for the love of it.
Heller started volunteering in 1952 and is also a life member of the Maybrook Fire Department.
Carol and Stan Spencer, of Slate Hill, were also recognized for their work with the Home Delivered meal program. They trained drivers even through the pandemic.
