A Watertown man is facing multiple charges after allegedly head-butting a police officer.

Police say Joseph Umbro, 50, fired one shot in his backyard after an argument with a woman at his house.

They say Umbro resisted arrest and head-butted one of the responding officers.

Police say he claimed to have lit a firework, but officers found a gun and shell casing in the yard.

Umbro faces charges including firing a gun while drunk and assaulting a police officer.
