University of Connecticut officials say a person died from a fall from a high level of the South Parking Garage on Jim Calhoun Way onto the pavement Thursday morning.

UConn police and fire responded to the scene around 9:30 a.m.

It's not clear if the man is a student, staff or a faculty member.

Jim Calhoun Way was closed to traffic but has since been reopened.
