The Hudson River is once again safe for swimming and other recreational activities after a sewage spill prompted a weekend-long advisory, officials said Sunday.
The advisory was issued Friday after a break at the Crotonville Pump Station in Ossining accidentally released an estimated 1 million gallons of partially treated sewage into the Croton River, which flows into the Hudson.
The advisory was lifted after tides diluted the sewage that had been released, officials said.
