Officials say that as many as five headless chickens were found over the weekend in Yonkers.
They say the discovery was made Saturday on the boat launch of the JFK Marina.
Police have not ruled out ritualistic killings to explain the situation. They say they are interested in speaking with a man and woman in their 50s who were spotted in the area before the chickens were found.
Police ask anyone with information about those responsible for the killings to give them a call.
Last August, several bags containing decomposing animals, including a beheaded goat, were found dumped on a road in Yorktown.
