Officials: Former Brewster HS student arrested for making threats against current student

Officials say that the suspect, who lives outside of Putnam County, was quickly identified and located.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says a former Brewster High School student was arrested for making threats against a current student.
They say the threats were made on social media and targeted a juvenile at the school.
Officials say that the suspect, who lives outside of Putnam County, was quickly identified and located.
The person was issued an appearance ticket.
Patrols will be present at all of Brewster schools on Friday out of an abundance of caution, according to police. Officials says students, faculty and employees are not in any danger.
Putnam County sheriff's made a similar arrest earlier Thursday this time in Carmel.
There a middle school student was accused of making a threat against the George Fisher Middle School.
The same school that was the target of several students created racist, and threatening TikTok videos just five weeks ago.

The district says it has dealt with a total of four alleged threats over the last 48 hours. District officials say one involved Kent Elementary, another involved Kent Primary, one was not substantiated and the fourth one was from a student George-Fisher Middle School Thursday morning.
