Officials say that drowning and hypothermia led to the deaths of two fishermen after their rowboat capsized in the Muscoot Reservoir in Goldens Bridge.
New York State Police say Ngan Kong of, Brooklyn, and Ma Weitau, of Staten Island, died when their rowboat capsized New Year’s Eve.

Authorities say the men were out fishing Monday afternoon and called family to tell them they were staying out longer than expected, but never made it home.
State police say it appears an accident caused the boat to overturn.
News 12 has been told that the men had permits to be on the water and were wearing life jackets.
