New inspections of a building damaged by a mudslide last week are revealing more previously unseen damage.

The mudslide, which occured at 95-97 Walsh Road, forced more than 100 people out of their homes last week.

Crews say cracks in the back wall on the first floor of the building were found over the weekend.

They also say that part of the building's wall is leaning in from the force of the mud that hit it last week. A makeshift wooden reinforcement has been installed in hope of securing the entire building.

State inspectors took samples of the mud and compared it to last week's samples to see how much of the building's retaining wall was compromised by the rain over the weekend. 

The newly found damage brings into question when the residents will be allowed back into the building.
