A passenger suspected of smuggling cocaine into the country got sniffed out by a U.S. Customs K-9 at JFK International Airport.
On Nov. 16, a dog alerted his handler to a suspicious suitcase coming into the country from Port of Spain, Trinidad.
Jerrita Baker, who owns the luggage, was taken to a private search room where agents found five pounds of cocaine hidden in the lining.
The street value of the drug is estimated at $87,000.
Baker faces federal narcotics smuggling charges.
