Former Spring Valley Mayor Noramie Jasmin is in more hot water after being accused of an additional crime by federal prosecutors.
Jasmin was charged in 2013 with accepting bribes in an alleged real estate scam.
According to court papers filed in her corruption case, she also allegedly tried to rig a village election in 2011.
Prosecutors say she attempted to eliminate absentee ballots to ensure that favorable candidates would win.
Jasmin has not been charged with election fraud.
