A Wappingers Falls woman died in a weekend hiking accident in Ulster County.

Officials say Margaret Fitzgerald, 71, died Saturday after falling at the Mohonk Mountain Preserve.

Fitzgerald fell about 50 feet after slipping on an icy slope, authorities say.

Multiple police and EMS crews were called to the Table Rocks trail.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
