Officials: 25-year-old Poughkeepsie man accused of driving drunk on scooter, striking 2 teens on Halloween

A 25-year-old Poughkeepsie man was arrested on Halloween after allegedly drunk driving on an electric scooter and striking two teenage trick-or-treaters, according to authorities.

Nykiem McLean was taken into custody on Oct. 31 following an incident on Sterling Drive in Highland.

The teenagers sustained only minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

McLean was charged with operation of an electric scooter while under the influence of alcohol.
