Officials: 2 rail yard workers injured after car explodes

A car explosion in North White Plains Friday afternoon left two Metro-North workers injured.
Chopper 12 was over the scene at the Metro-North rail yard where a red car was charred in the flames.
About 30 firefighters from the White Plains and North White Plains fire departments responded as smoke billowed into the air.
News 12 was told the car was a personal vehicle of one of the employees who were injured. It had flammable material inside that ignited.
The two employees were taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
The incident is under investigation by fire officials and MTA police.
