Just days after dozens of migrants were taken to the Knights Inn Hotel in Liberty, the hotel confirmed that the migrants left on Sunday afternoon.

Sullivan County Legislature Chairman Robert A. Doherty says the group has been relocated to Dutchess County.

In a statement he went on to say that the owner of the Knights Inn was unwilling to accept full use of the hotel due to existing obligations to the county and desire to support privately paying customers that booked rooms in advance.

Doherty says they have not been informed of further transports from New York City and the emergency order still stands - prohibiting local lodging establishments from entering into contracts to house social services clients from municipalities outside of Sullivan County without the express consent of the county.
