A fight between two pit bulls captured on video in Spring Valley is raising questions about how fights between dogs should be broken up.
The video from several weeks ago captured the fight between the dogs on the street.
Anne Marie Gaudio, a Humane Society law enforcement official in Spring Valley, has seen and broken up many dog fights. She says it is best for owners to try to remain calm and do something to break the dogs' focus.
"Do not hit them. You are just inciting and getting them angrier," Gaudio told News 12.
Gaudio says the best way to distract fighting dogs is to use a garden hose.
