Officers in Rye say there's been a rash of burglaries recently at the St. Regis apartments on Old Post Road.

Police say the perpetrators are possibly targeting empty homes so activate alarm systems, especially for upper floors and make sure all doors and windows are locked.

Investigators say thieves are looking for jewelry, designer bags and cash.
