NYU Langone to end pediatric gender-affirming care following DOJ investigation
The deal comes after President Donald Trump ordered the Justice Department to penalize providers who offered it.

NYU Langone Health has agreed to stop offering pediatric gender-affirming care following a deal made with the U.S. Department of Justice.
According to the agency, the hospital network has also agreed to pay $8.5 million as part of the resolution.
Last year, the DOJ was ordered by President Trump to investigate and penalize providers who perform gender-affirming care on minors.
Services under the deal include hormone treatments, puberty blockers and surgeries.
The move comes two weeks after the DOJ reached a similar deal with the Mount Sinai Health System.
