The NYPD officer from Stony Point who was shot in the Bronx received a hero's welcome at his home after being released from Mount Sinai Hospital Friday afternoon.
Officer Andrew Dossi and Officer Aliro Pellerano, also from Rockland, were shot while responding to a Bronx bodega robbery on Jan. 5. Dossi has undergone numerous surgeries and will continue his rehab back at his Stony Point home.
Officer Pellerano, of Garnerville, was released from the hospital last week after being shot in the chest.
Two men were arrested and are facing charges ranging from attempted murder to robbery for the crime.
