An NYPD officer from the Hudson Valley was killed, and eight other officers were injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday morning in the Bronx.
Michael Williams, 25, was killed when the police van he was riding in crashed on the Bruckner Expressway around 5 a.m.
Williams was ejected from the vehicle. The eight other officers were hospitalized and are expected to recover.
Williams was on the force for only eight months. He was a graduate of Arlington High School in Dutchess County.
