An Orange County community is mourning the loss of an NYPD officer from Monroe.
Ryan Finlay, 43, died at his home Monday following a long battle with pancreatitis.
According to the New York Post, Finlay was a Marine combat veteran who started with the NYPD in 2004.
In 2015, he was honored with the Theodore Roosevelt Award, which is given to officers who return to duty after suffering an injury or illness.
