The NYPD and the New York City Police Foundation announced that they have purchased 150,000 units of masks, gloves and packets of hand sanitizer for those on the front lines.

The resources, which officials says cost $500,000, were supplied by Winbrook and purchased by the Police Foundation thanks to donors.

In addition to the supplies, the Police Foundation is currently raising money and seeking donations for its mission of supporting the NYPD.

NYPD Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said in part, “This equipment will help keep our officers physically safe. But beyond that, it sends them a clear message - that their unwavering commitment to protecting people is deeply appreciated.”
